The Bob Firman Invitational XC Meet!

Last Saturday was a blast! The Bob Firman Invitational is a huge meet...80 high schools competed from 7 states, plus collegiate races (including BYU and BSU)! We are lucky that it's held right here at a nationally-recognized course at Eagle Island State Park which is about 5 minutes from our home! It was a full day with perfect running weather. Kenzie ran in the elite varsity division, and Madeleine ran in the Freshman race (which the Eagle team won!), both setting new PRs (personal records). Woohoo! Here are a few pics from the day...

Homecoming 2009

Here are a few pictures of Kenzie, her date (RJ Rouse), and their homecoming group. The evening had barely begun when parents were taking pictures, but it looked like the kids were going to have a really great time together! A follow-up entry: They DID have tons of fun...dinner at Jakers, the dance, and late-night milkshakes and a movie! ...Then up until 2:00AM reporting and talking to Mom! :)

Yesterday's XC Meet

For those who haven't been to a cross-country meet, here's a glimpse into how it goes. Unfortunately, Madeleine was sick, so she couldn't run, but here are some pictures of Mackenzie at the Roger Curran Memorial Race yesterday morning...she came in 4th with her best time of the season!

Max, Mike & Dana had a GREAT time going with family to Texas for the BYU/Oklahoma Cowboy Classic in the incredible new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington! We toured the stadium, swam, relaxed, had BBQ, golfed, went to a rodeo, enjoyed each other's company, and oh yeah...WATCHED THE COUGARS BEAT OKLAHOMA!!! :)
