Kenzie's Sadies Date

Last Saturday was Kenzie's Sadie Hawkins dance. It was a big day! During the day she and her date, RJ, ran the Nike Cross Nationals XC meet and went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries for lunch. Later, they met their group for pictures, went to Cool Hand Luke's for dinner and then to the dance. After the dance, they all watched an old western comedy at our neighbor's house. She had a great time, but was exhausted when she got home...not too tired, however, to talk to mom for another hour or so! Love it! :) Here are a few pics...

State XC Championships!

What a fun day it was last Saturday! Mike & I drove up near Coeur d'Alene to the State XC Championships. Kenz had a great race and reached her goal of finishing in the top 20--she placed 16th in the state! It was a hard race as the course was very hilly and soggy, and the wind was blowing very hard. The team finished 4th, missing out on 3rd place by ONE point, proving that every racer counts!! As the alternate, Madeleine didn't end up running, but was a great cheerleader and picture-taker!! They had a fun trip and even trick-or-treated from each other on the busride home! :) We love you, girls!!
